This is an in-person event to celebrate World Refugee Day with Jewish Social Services and Open Doors for Refugees.
Masks are required.
At 5:30pm, enjoy light snacks and refreshments and browse international tables about the cultures of the panelists.
At 6pm, Madison-area refugee speakers will share their stories and experiences and answer questions from the audience.
World Refugee Day celebrates the communities that benefit as refugees resettle within them.
This year, as directed by the United Nations, the theme will be: “Every person on this planet has a right to seek safety – whoever they are, wherever they come from and whenever they are forced to flee.”
