Allied Wellness Center

Allied Wellness Center supports community health and well-being in Madison through education, resource navigation, and wellness programs. They strengthen overall wellness through community health workers, support groups, life-skills classes, and advocacy. They provide resources to education, ESL classes, housing, transportation, employment and many more.
AMASIAN
AMASIAN is a non-profit in Greater Madison, Wisconsin dedicated to supporting Asian American professionals, businesses, and individuals interested in Asian culture and community. Their mission is to promote connection, cultural exchange, and growth through education, fundraising events, technical assistance, and a collaborative network that empowers their members and celebrates Asian heritage.
AMASIAN is partnering with Open Doors for Refugees to coordinate fund raising, events, and professional organization.
Arbor Good Neighbor House
The Arbor Good Neighbor House (AGNH), a non-profit organization, exists to connect neighbors and provide common ground for community interaction.
AGNH has partnered with Open Doors for Refugees to provide welcoming spaces for meetings and various storage needs.
Bikes for Kids Wisconsin
Bikes for Kids Wisconsin is making bicycling sustainable, equitable, and affordable for everyday transportation in our community. They are also working to change the culture around how people view bicycles.
Bikes for Kids Wisconsin provides mini-grants for Open Doors for Refugees and other organizations to plan bike give-away events.
Catholic Multicultural Center
The Catholic Multicultural Center (CMC) is a social service agency on Madison’s South side that offers programs designed to help our brothers and sisters in need through meeting basic needs and providing educational and professional growth opportunities.
The CMC assists Open Doors for Refugees with food pantry needs, legal services, and ESL tutoring.
Center for Community Stewardship

The Center for Community Stewardship (C4CS) empowers community-based organizations to build a more just and equitable society through fiscal sponsorship, coaching, training, and administrative support.
C4CS provides fiscal sponsorship to Open Doors for Refugees.
Community Immigration Law Center (CILC)
The Community Immigration Law Center is dedicated to providing access to justice for individuals facing deportation by offering legal consultations, representation, and up-to-date information on evolving immigration issues.
The Community Immigration Law Center conducts a legal clinic held on the second and fourth Friday of each month, beginning at 1:30 pm by appointment only.
Christ Presbyterian Church
Christ Presbyterian Church (CPC) is committed to worshipping as an ecumenical fellowship of people from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. At the center of CPC’s work is a dedication to the ministry of compassion and justice.
CPC provides volunteers and affordable rental space for our annual Thanksgiving celebration.
Forward Services Corporation
Forward Services Corporation (FSC) is a non-profit employment and training organization. They currently offer programs in 46 Wisconsin counties to provide training, education, career guidance, and supportive services to refugee clients and others
FSC has worked with us to find jobs and transportation for newcomers arriving in Madison.
International Institute of Wisconsin
The International Institute of Wisconsin assists newcomers to the country with immigration and social services, refugee resettlement, educational services, and interpretation and translation services.
The International Institute works with Open Doors for Refugees to provide naturalization services and community event facilitation.
Jewish Social Services of Madison
Jewish Social Services of Madison (JSS) provides assistance to refugees and their families through a variety of services and resources to help them become self-sufficient and create a safe and stable life in the Dane County area. JSS is South Central Wisconsin’s only resettlement agency.
Open Doors for Refugees partners closely with JSS to ensure their mission is successful.
Latino Academy

The Latino Academy of Workforce Development is a non-profit organization that provides bilingual adult education, job-specific training, and hands-on -experience, GED, pre-GED classes, and language courses. The Latino Academy is creating accessible pathways for individuals to achieve their professional and personal goals.
Madison College

Madison College offers English language classes at all levels, from beginning to advanced. Students can improve English proficiency by focusing on reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
Open Doors for Refugees has provided tutors for ELL classes at Madison College.
Peace Corps Community for Refugees
The Peace Corps Community for Refugees aims to engage the broader Peace Corps Community in the national support of refugees. They have aided with promotion of Open Doors for Refugees and the annual Freeze for Food Walk/Run fundraiser.
Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of WI-Madison
Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCV) promotes Peace Corps ideals by supporting a social network for returned Peace Corps volunteers, promoting cultural understanding and awareness of international issues, supporting the Peace Corps’ mission and active volunteers, and collaborating and volunteering with non-profit organizations aligned with their goals. For 40 years they have conducted the annual Freeze for Food race and, for the last several years, have donated the proceeds to Open Doors for Refugees.
We have partnered with them to plan and host the race for several years now.
The Literacy Network
The Literacy Network teaches reading, writing, communication, and computer skills to Dane County adults so they can achieve financial security, well-being, and deeper engagement with their families and the community. For refugees, they specifically offer introductory English classes. They assist refugees in learning the English language skills and cultural information needed to navigate life in the United States and be successful in their employment, community life, education, and civic engagement. They also provide ongoing educational support and referrals to internal and external programs as needed.
Open Doors for Refugees will assist The Literacy Network with providing childcare for mothers in ESL programs.
Wheels for Winners
Wheels for Winners’ mission is to provide bicycles to individuals experiencing challenges in their daily lives who engage in community service.
They provide free bicycles to families served by Open Doors for Refugees and Jewish Social Services.
Wisconsin Literacy

Wisconsin Literacy, Inc. supports 80 community-based literacy programs throughout Wisconsin. They strengthen literacy through expert trainings, health literacy, workforce connections, and advocacy.
Wisconsin Literacy provides Open Doors for Refugees with ESL resources.
