Who’s New in Madison (WNIM), one of Madison’s oldest and most active social clubs, has selected Open Doors for Refugees as its 2022-2023 service partner.
After kicking off the partnership in September with two successful fundraisers, WNIM has come up with even more creative ways to support Open Doors. Led by WNIM’s Service Committee dynamos Cindy Jaggi and Kelli Kreienkamp, dozens of volunteers have joined in on fun events.
In October, One Community Bank in Oregon said “yes” to WNIM’s request for a donation to Open Doors, presenting a check for $250.

On October 19, WNIM members Jan Klein and Lauren Loomis coordinated a Walk Around Lake Monona fundraiser. 45 walkers (plus a couple of dogs) came together on a sunny autumn Wednesday to walk around the lake. This fundraiser generated $9,250 in donations.

On November 14, WNIM hosted an upscale resale fashion show and fundraiser at The Pink Poodle boutique and consignment store. WNIM has yet more lively plans in the works, and Open Doors is thrilled to remain its Service Partner through May 2023.
