We are thrilled to announce that Jason Mack has been appointed as the new executive director of Open Doors for Refugees (ODFR). As a progressive pastor with 20 years of experience in the church, Jason brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to community service.
Originally from Washington, Jason has lived in Wisconsin for 15 years and currently resides in Madison, where he serves as the pastor of a church in Wauwatosa. His passion for helping others aligns with ODFR’s mission to aid refugees in the community.
When asked what drew him to ODFR, Jason shared, “I’ve always centered my life and career on ‘the good.’ I’ve done that for the past 20 years as a pastor, and I feel I can continue that with Open Doors.”
With his extensive experience in the faith community, Jason aims to enhance ODFR’s visibility and impact in Madison. He envisions ODFR as the go-to resource for refugees in the area.
Jason also acknowledges the crucial role that volunteers play in our operations. “From what I gather, we have the energy and volunteers needed to achieve great things. Now it’s about guiding ODFR in the right direction.”
He is eager to meet our dedicated volunteers at upcoming events and is actively learning about the services ODFR provides to support our refugee neighbors.
